We Live in an Electric Universe!

At present ... this site serves as my resume and portfolio site -- for that click on James in the top navigation bar.

However, in the future this it will be the place where I will espouse upon my ideas on the electric universe, physics, meta-physics, the atom, spirituality and more.

When the basis for most of our scientific theories were developed we knew very little about electricity.  It's not surprising Einstein talks very little about plasma, that subject was not studied until well after his death.

This site explores the idea that electricity is everywhere - in geology, the weather, biology, cosmology and in the stories of our myths and religion.

It's all electric!!

Is there electricity in Space?

Our understanding and use of electromagnetism has resulted in our modern world.  We use it for heat, light, communications, transportation, motors and much more.  It is everywhere in our lives.

However Astronomers believe there is NO (none, nada, zip) electricity in space.  Astronomers say it simply cannot exist.  For electricity to flow there must exist a charge imbalance to drive it.  If there ever was a charge imbalance in space then it would have neutralized a long time ago.   There needs to be a generator or battery to keep the current going.

Since the belief is there is no electricity in space, you don't need to study electromagnetism to graduate from college as an Astronomer.

Everywhere we look in space we see magnetism.  These magnetic fields are a tell tale sign there is an electric current behind it.  Galaxies are connected by large electric circuits, The stars are connected with smaller currents, and the Sun is positive in relation to a negative Earth with the solar wind conducting electricity between them.

Electricity is flowing between everything in space.  We think the stars and galaxies we observe are what's important.  Instead imagine these large wires connecting everything and the stars are just where wires meet or split.  The stars are created by these currents.  It' the electricity that's important.

Electro-magnetism

Electricity and magnetism are inextricably connected.  If charged particles are moving then they generate a magnetic field.  Likewise if a magnetic field is moving then it will move charged particles.  This is how generators, motors and transformers work.  Engineers on Earth understand this phenomena very well.

Electromagnetic effects are 1x1039 times stronger than gravity. In the presence of even an extremely weak electric field, gravity has no affect.

However astronomers do not see a connection between electricity and magnetism.  Astronomers do see magnetism everywhere - planets have magnetic fields, huge magnetic coronal loops dance around the Sun,  the solar wind creates 'magnetic ropes' as it accelerates away from the Sun.  But almost nowhere in modern astronomy is electricity mentioned.  These magnetic fields are created somehow without the presence of electricity.

Electric Universe Theories

The foundations of our scientific theories were established before we had much of an understanding of Electricity and Plasma.  Almost all the branches of science - cosmology, geology, meteorology, biology - have very little to say about electricity.

Most of the research into electrical plasma didn't start until after Einstein died.

Many of the mythical and religious stories can be explained with electricity.  Zeus's thunderbolts, the Lakota Indian thunderbird, the pillar of fire in the Exodus - these are just a few of the many examples from around the world.

Often when electricity is mentioned it is a side effect of something else.  For example lightning is thought to be created by weather.  The Electric Universe theories turns that on its head - "electricity is the driving force that creates the weather".

  • Did electricity help sculpt the geology of the American Southwest?
  • Does electricity lift thousands of gallons of water up into the leaves of a Redwood tree?
  • From earth we only see one side of the moon - are we electrically locked together.
  • We know electricity creates the Auroras, does it also create the Earth's magnetic field?
  • What holds tons of water up in a cloud?   Why do clouds come together - why don't they dissipate into the surrounding air?

Where is the matter?

Only 3% of the material in the Universe is thought to be physical matter - galaxies, stars, black holes, planets, nebulae.  The remaining 97% the universe is thought to be made up of Dark Matter and Dark Energy - two invisible, unknown phenomena we cannot detect and do not know what they are.

The reason we think they exist is because astronomy has only gravity to work with, all their equations are based on gravity.  What if something else is at play here?

Electromagnetic effects are 1x1039 times stronger than gravity. Even in the presence of an extremely weak electric field - gravity has virtually no affect.
